Scope: EMC Civil has completed all base slabs and tunnel linings for the new Pitt Street station in Sydney City centre, a complex project with the limited access of being within the busy city centre which changed regularly and delivering the high class project on time and below budget, EMC worked close with the client to ensure the project run as smooth as possible.

Client: John Holland Laing O’Rourke JV

Scope: EMC Civil has been engaged to construct various bridges and other structures including an aqueduct above Sydenham pit which also serves as an access road at the top level, also a flume structure connected to the heritage listed pumping station which is still in use by Sydney Water. Other structures included insitu concrete culverts, access bridge to pit, confluence structure, inlet and outlet structures plus various temporary structures during staged works for water diversion during the structure build.

Scope:

Largest of the 4 Easy Access Upgrade Projects for Laing O’Rourke, Penrith Station received a complete overhaul which included new 3 new lift shafts, extended concourse and 6 new stair cases by EMC Civil to allow for rapid increase of the Penrith population. Complex works to stabilize the existing structure whilst construction of new structures under stringent rail conditions and restricted station shut-downs being a major part of Sydney’s rail network. Works were staged to allow public access at all times for commuters and general access requirements.
